The Opportunity

If you are interested in an opportunity to make a difference within a growing business wanting to ensure all suppliers, and materials they provide, are in compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications and company standards, then this could be the role for you!

You will be responsible for all post-production quality related activities, working to analyse the root cause of customer complaints, evaluate quality issues for product returns, lead engineering investigations and write problem solving process reports. You will have the opportunity to partner with Baraja Design Engineers, our Business Development team, Customer Success team and NPI team. You will be reporting into the Quality Manager in our growing NPI / Advanced Manufacturing team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Quality Managers to discuss and resolve product quality issues raised by customers 
  • Handle customer related quality issues through quality alert systems, conducting root cause analysis's, developing corrective actions, and presenting problem solving process (PSP) reports to customers 
  • Develops, implement, and maintain customer complaint management and customer satisfaction processes 
  • Receive customer quality audits on a regular basis to ensure vendors and their supplies remain in compliance with company and manufacturing/production standards 
  • Interpreting customer’s quality notes and quality requirements to ensure the requirement is passed down both internally and externally to ensure compliance with quality requirements 
  • Participate in product quality planning and control process based on customer’s specifications and requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering
  • Practical knowledge of Root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and Quality Management system ISO 9001
  • Experience working with automotive Quality management standards (ASPICE/ISO 26262/IATF16949)
  • Highly technical background. Education/qualification degree (Engineering or technical disciplines) or equivalent experience required
  • Auditor experience in both internal and external audits
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and production process
  • Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple customers
  • Prior customer quality management experience
  • Preferable experience of core quality tools: MSA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, etc
  • General statistical process control knowledge, including implementation
  • Experience in capturing and resolving quality Issues (NCR, Complaints Management)
