Showpo is on the lookout for a fashion PR & Communications Manager. This position takes ownership of generating brand noise, interest, and aligning our brand sentiment with our new brand strategy, via impactful PR, communications and publicity initiatives for the brand. In this role you’ll be responsible for leading ideas and initiatives to make our brand relevant and culturally connected, and generate high reaching and consumer earned media outcomes for Showpo.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about brand, fashion and youth culture, someone who has experience building culturally-connected brands through PR and comms, and someone who knows what ‘relevant’ is - how to capture it, create it, and make a brand synonymous with it.
We’re working in a fast paced and agile environment so you’ll be challenged to stay ahead of the curve while thinking big, getting shit done, and not being afraid to get your hands dirty!
While the role is focused on PR, securing media and publicity initiatives, it is not limited to, and works closely with the marketing leadership team on brand marketing ideas and implementing these to move our brand forward, covering talent, campaigns, experiential, sponsorships, partnerships, CSR and anything else that will make our brand synonymous with our purpose, values and strategy.
Develop and lead PR comms plans with a focus on generating consumer media interest, coverage, brand noise, and product interest - anything and everything!Ownership of the PR and publicity strategy, proactive in pitching ideas and range stories externally to media (broadcast, print etc), and internally to the CMO - following through with implementation Drive cut-through, engagement and connection with our brand through innovative, impactful and culturally-connected communications and marketing strategies, covering PR, Experiences, Media, Sponsorships & ‘cool’ companionable Partnerships that generate high reach, aligned with our brand positioning. Ownership of media, publisher and editor relations, sourcing opportunities and obtaining coverage across digital, broadcast, and other mass media channels -across product and brand stories.Develop and oversee talent and celebrity relations, actively pitching our brand for collaborations and for coverage on talent channels Suggest and source agencies to help deliver on brand initiatives as required - locally and globallyBrief, guide and manage specialist resources to deliver on PR & communications, internal and externalWork in conjunction with the marketing leadership team to support on other comms and marketing initiatives as required.Work with the leadership team on employer brand ideas and initiatives for marketing, elevate and gain trade press for our marketing work, brand journey and initiatives Evaluate and develop showroom strategy locally and globally Lead communications on issues and crisis management
Skills & Experience We Look For:
At least 5 years in a PR role for a fashion brand, in house, leading PR and communications strategiesAt least 2 years experience at a manager levelCan demonstrate strong relationships with fashion media, editors, publishersCan present a strong portfolio of generating media and earned media outcomes for seasonal and product campaignsCan showcase a history of getting fashion brands on celebrities and Tier-1 talentStrong knowledge and experience within Australian and international fashion industry Campaign strategy and communication planning experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy
