As our Quality Manager you will manage our growing Quality Management System, working with a number of Defence and Automotive clients. We are looking for someone with specialised knowledge in the Quality Management space. This is an exciting role to help take Advanced Navigation to the next stage of our journey.
Manage Advanced Navigation’s Quality Management System (QMS)Interpret customer and compliance quality requirements for our businessComplete annual internal quality audits and identify non-conformancesManage a Quality Improvement Register and work with Functional Leads to implement QMS improvements.Provide coaching and guidance or independently drive solutions depending on the complexity of the non-conformance and the capacity of the relevant function.Provide reports and updates to the Leadership Team and the business.Be the Quality expert in the business and the point of contact for Quality issuesCommunicate with Certification Bodies and Customer Quality Teams Prepare for and run Quality Compliance Audits and Customer Quality AuditsAnswer Quality related questions from the business about the impact of change on our QMSGuide the Sales Operations Team to provide accurate response to Customer Quality Questionnaires.Support change within the business by assessing growth plans for impact on the QMS.Improve the overall understanding of Quality Management across the businessImprove and grow our QMS to meet future compliance requirementsComplete a gap analysis to IATF 16949 and work with Functional Leads to achieve compliance over a 1-2 year periodAssess future compliance opportunities for business impact and cost to implement, if and when required by the COO and CEOs.Drive compliance to meet the future needs of the business, at the direction of the COO and CEOs.
Bachelor's Degree in a Technical fieldDiploma of Quality or equivalent issued by an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO)Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
5-10 years experience managing the Quality Systems for an Electronics Manufacturer in the Defence Supply ChainPrevious responsibility for Customer Quality Audits, responding to Customer Questionnaires, interpreting Customer Quality Requirements.
Able to take a practical approach to Quality Management, balancing ideologies with commercial impactsAn excellent understanding of auditing standardsKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and how it applies to the Defence supply chainKnowledge of IATF 16949 and how it applies to an electronics manufacturer
