The Tyro Finance team is positioned to support Tyro business strategy as well as continuous improvement across the business’ financial operations whilst continually focussing on financial management, budgeting activities, reporting, control, planning and forecasting to help the business make key financial decisions.

What you'll be doing

  • Act as a Finance Business Partner to dedicated departments by assisting them to understand their monthly results against budget
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to the Management Accountant
  • Management reporting with insightful driver-based reporting and analysis, including financial tracking & advice against profit and loss performance
  • Assisting in formulating budgetary practices and guidelines
  • Contribute to preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies
  • Helping to synthesize results of quantitative and qualitative analyses into key trends, implications, and/or recommendations
  • Creation and review of financial models to support business cases
  • Develop content that will support/be included in presentations and reports to communicate and achieve buy-in for strategic recommendations
  • Gathering financial and non-financial data from various sources, interview support, conducting internal and external research, issues analysis
  • Production of quarterly and annual business forecasts and plans including budget packs
  • Ownership of, and quality controls around budgeting and re-forecasting models
  • Administration of general ledger platform
  • Contribute to process improvement via automation of financial reporting and accounting systems
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of finance accounting and reporting systems
  • What you bring to the team

  • CA or CPA essential; CFA preferred
  • Relevant experience working in or with Financial Services organisations. 
  • Experience working with broader business clients in a commercial environment;
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills and ability to drive outcomes
  • Excellent analytical skills, including tools – Excel essential, Salesforce and Alteryx, Tableau preferred
  • Ability to work independently in addition to working as a team player while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
