The role

We need a superstar product manager to own the data products that power our customer experiences, and take them to the next level.

As one of our data product gurus you’ll work closely with a high-calibre team of software engineers to solve complex problems relating to Zip’s customer data, identity and authentication. 

This is a unique opportunity that balances startup and scaleup, perfect for someone in a larger company who wants to move faster, or from a smaller organisation looking for the investment and expertise to make an even bigger impact.

Our Product team obsess about customer needs and wants, dive deep into the data to validate hypothesise, develop and test ideas.

Communication skills, process expertise and technical knowhow are your superpowers, and Zip is the place where you can leverage these as we change the payments game.

To help us level up, you'll bring

  • Current experience as a product manager in a high-tech environment 
  • Experience working alongside, collaborating with, and at times informally leading an engineering team 
  • Knowledge and experience in working with large and complex data environments
  • Expert prioritisation skills, including knowledge of prioritisation frameworks and approaches 
  • Customer-oriented view with the ability to visualise both current and future requirements
  • Solid knowledge of agile, strong drive and a structured and result-oriented way of working
  • Ability to conduct experiments using the latest techniques to test, learn and improve the customer experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • The drive, determination and resilience to quickly work through ambiguity to an outcome
  • Confidence in your own abilities, yet humble enough to admit when you’re wrong
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to move with a sense of urgency, sensitivity to give people space to offer suggestions
  • A love of autonomy as well as close team-working
