We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist who has experience in infrastructure (roads/rail) related projects, government agencies, and an established industry network in Melbourne, Australia.

Primary Purpose of the Position 
·       Self-starter with existing professional network in the transport and infrastructure sector. Ability to drive the conversation with industry leaders and our clients.
·       Create opportunities and manage the sales pipeline end to end, driving and owning pursuits with new customers, and growing existing accounts
·       Owning customer relationships; building, nurturing, and growing our customer network in Victoria
·       Pitch and win new contracts for our combined offer; WillowDigital and WillowTwin 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to take business plan goals and milestones and create BD/Sales plans that drive activity to meet these objectives
  • Manage the sales pipeline in the region, working closely with VP Sales Infrastructure and VP Strategic Projects to identity target customers and drive Pursuit Plans to close.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans and objectives around customer development and business growth
  • Own customer relationships and develop relationships that lead to new sales and scope growth
  • Develop ideas to continually grow the Willow offer to customers, working closely with service and product teams to looking at ways we can innovate and evolve the sales strategies
  • Have a can-do attitude, thriving in a team environment whilst also being able to act autonomously to drive opportunities with customers
  • Excellent communication skills being able to connect and relate with others; equally strong in talking and listening
  • Strategic insight leader who is proficient in assessing tender requirements and able to own the strategic pursuit and be able to roll-up your sleeves and write content as required 
  • Essential Experience

  • You will currently be working in the Infrastructure market in some capacity (road/rail infrastructure)
  • You will have a large network of contacts in the Victorian infrastructure market in at least one of these sectors; rail, road, aviation, or mining
  • Skills And Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to secure new work and customers in the Transport/Infrastructure market
  • Minimum of 10 years business development/sales experience
  • Must have a strong network of Victorian connections.
  • Proven experience in business development; forming relationships with Owners, Contractors, Engineers, and other consultants
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships in both the private and public sector
  • Possess a detailed knowledge of the development, design and construction process and terminology; desirable to understand operations and maintenance, building types/contracts and existing rail systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Impeccable speaking, grammar and writing skills are required
