About the role:
You will deploy a wide range of skills in the areas of internet marketing, search engine optimisation, coding, copywriting, monetisation and project management. Your work will always differ from day-to-day but your prime responsibilities are to own the vision, definition, execution and ultimate delivery of new products and technological capabilities, and to dominate and monetise niches and projects.

You will work closely with the country managers, publishers, public relations managers, Product Managers, your Engineering Leads, design, insight, datalytics, and the CPTO in order to achieve this.

You excel at delivering technical products that drive a commercially focussed but solidly engineered outcome from inception through to delivery including launch, operation and execution. 

The expectations for success of this role are very high, and your influence must be felt across Finder and it’s engineering and product teams. This responsibility will also come with great rewards, experience, coaching, mentoring and internal support to achieve success.

As a Technical Product Manager for Expertise, Authority, Trust you are expected to be a leading domain expert on Finder’s capabilities, products and their benefits to our users so that you can birth new competitive differentiators from your understanding of the art of the possible, bootstrapping our next wave of scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the strategic vision and product priorities to build Expertise, Authority and Trust at Finder. 
  • Work closely with the publishing and SEO crew to drive organic growth across markets.
  • Business cases for new products; generating your own new product ideas and product improvements
  • Embody, demonstrate and reinforce our company values.
  • Subject matter and domain expertise on finder product and engineering principles and execution
  • Work with Engineering Leaders to drive alignment in our strategic goals.
  • Quality and timely delivery of deliverables.
  • Interviewing and recruiting new team members
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing new country staff
  • Seek to improve and become dominant by learning from experts.
  • Travel internationally if required.


Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing the entire product development lifecycle, including ideas, mockups, testing, delivery and on-going tracking
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO impact for any website design/infrastructure changes
  • Strong wireframing techniques, preferably with a simple tool
  • Designing split tests which prove your ideas, implementing the results live to the website
  • An understanding of how UX and UI fit into the product development lifecycle
  • Experience working with developers, both internal and external to deliver results
  • Ability to work either autonomously or with other members of the team to deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrable expertise in defining and achieving commercial growth targets
  • Product, marketing or brand management experience
  • Market analytics, marketing tactics and web analytics tools
  • Keen eye for detail matched with an innovative, creative mind and excellent communication skills
  • Ultimate hunger and drive for success
  • Excellence in product design

Nice to have

  • Market analytics
  • Expertise in Agile development methodologies.
  • Financial Regulation in Australia, the USA and/or Europe.
  • Demonstrable People leadership experience
  • Knowledge of WordPress.
  • Experience working with high traffic websites.
  • An understanding of the comparison space.
