About the opportunity:
To assist with a current financial crime compliance initiative, we are seeking expressions of interest for the role of Paralegal – Financial Crime. This role is for an 8-week project, and successful applicants will be employed on a casual basis during that period. Reporting to the Head of Customer Service, with additional oversight from and interaction with the Head of Risk & Compliance, ANZ as well as the AML/CTF Compliance Officer, you will work collaboratively with other team members to deliver the project within expected timeframes and to the requisite service levels.
What you’ll be responsible for:
You have an interest in the intersection of technology, financial services and regulatory compliance. You have completed your HSC (or equivalent) and are undertaking tertiary-level study in a related discipline such as law, business, criminology or similar. Previous experience with (or knowledge of) the Australian AML/CTF regulatory regime is desirable, but not essential.
You have a high level of technological capability, including the ability to work with Microsoft Office and proprietary technology platforms. You work collaboratively with others, and have a high degree of professionalism, commensurate with the sensitivity that working in the area of financial crime compliance requires
