About the Tech Department

At THE ICONIC Tech Team, innovation drives us; we believe that innovation should not be sitting in a silo team but rather be part of everything we deliver. Every person in the tech team has a voice and our best outcomes are achieved through collaboration in whiteboard sessions. All our teams are cross-functional, mission-driven and they are able to iterate from inception to production without being blocked or having to ask permission from other teams. We love to move fast and validate learning using data!

Everyone in the tech team is aware of the importance of having a psychologically safe environment where people are allowed and even encouraged to fail often. We have the structure in place to allow everyone in tech to deploy new risky ideas with minimal collateral damage. We believe that our customers benefit more if we move fast, even if that means breaking a couple of things along the way.

You can solve problems at scale. Our systems handle a massive amount of traffic, with more than 5 million customers visiting us each month. On the architecture side of things this means that we constantly need to solve exciting and interesting scalability problems.

Responsibilities

You will be working in an agile environment on enterprise-level, high-quality software to support THE ICONIC as a leader in the online retail space.

  • Maintain Jira projects, workflows, permissions.
  • Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.
  • Improve Jira security, Set access permissions for Jira projects and confluence spaces.
  • Respond to end user incidents and service requests.
  • Perform application and system administration tasks, including software upgrades and scheduled jobs.
  • Test new versions of tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility.
  • Research the latest industry methods and techniques. 
  • Develop metrics dashboards, heatmaps, reports to provide development teams and senior leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports.

Essential Skills and Experience

NOTE:  This role is about managing projects, process and costs and not a systems admin role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
  • 5+ years experience managing all aspects of the Atlassian suite. 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and commitments, prioritise and multitask
  • Process and efficiency driven
  • Initiative, enthusiasm and ability to identify and prioritise work
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • A practical quick learner who is open to new challenges.
  • Growth mind-set, we never stop learning!

Experience with the following a plus

  • Atlassian certifications
  • Integration experience
  • Advancing Security Schema Knowledge.
