12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We’re looking for an exceptional brand storyteller to join our growing marketing team and amplify Shippit’s ability to scale. Working collaboratively with the Marketing and Sales teams, you will develop the content marketing strategy for Shippit and lead the translation of this into annual plans that you will be responsible for delivering.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about creating bold, memorable content that grabs and holds attention, with the experience and know-how to deliver a market-leading brand experience that drives business growth. You’ll be joining our marketing team at a time when you can really influence our brand and how we go to market. We are an outgoing, enthusiastic and tenacious team that aims high and are looking for another person in this vein.


This role will be at the heart of driving customer, commercial and brand success for Shippit. Supported by the Head of Marketing, you will lead the development of a clear, compelling and engaging content strategy to supercharge Shippit’s growth, educate the market on our offering, wow our customers and ensure we are seen as a mission-critical part of the tech stack for retailers across ANZ.

You will find out what makes our customers tick, how to propel the industry forward and develop content that pushes the envelope and captivates prospects who'd never thought they needed to revolutionise shipping. Getting to know our industry inside out, you will make sure that you stay ahead of trends and position Shippit as a thought leader for retail digital transformation.


  • Editorial strategy & direction: Lead the development of a clear and compelling content strategy that supports Shippit’s overall brand strategy. Own the translation of this into an inspiring & engaging content plan that will step-change our growth.
  • Activate: Lead execution of the content calendar and management of social media platforms: create, produce, commission and schedule content as needed through the funnel.
  • Deliver: Work with internal and external teams to produce high quality multimedia content (i.e. Design team, photographers, videographers) and apply best practice in packaging content across a broad range of formats.
  • Insight:  Understand & apply a strong & empathetic understanding of our customers’ needs, barriers, triggers and path to purchase and use this to inform content development.
  • Performance Monitoring:  Monitor performance and proactively make recommendations on changes to strategy & plans to optimise business outcomes. Maintain monthly competitor reviews and ensure timely insights are surfaced to both the local and global teams. 
  • Brand: Reflect the brand idea, tone of voice & visual identity within all content marketing initiatives.  Become a trusted & respected brand ambassador and guardian.
  • SEO: Ensure all onsite content is in line with SEO best practice
  • Budget Management: maintain the administration of content marketing budget ensuring in line with forecasts including maintenance of budget spreadsheets and management of invoices.

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role either high-growth tech or B2B environment, or with an editorial background in digital publishing/at-scale digital content platform
  • A great brand storyteller with exceptional creative writing skills
  • Proven experience in building brands through content marketing and developing multimedia content to guide audiences through every stage of the funnel
  • Experience working in a multi-team/ “cross-functional” environment and managing agencies, with ability to work collaboratively to drive change, demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills
  • Able to set metrics for success, monitor and take action to course-correct when not met  
  • Presentation skills - able to fluently and clearly present plans and recommendations
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Expert understanding of organic search and how content can support.
