A bit about the role:

Immutable is leading the way in the burgeoning crypto industry. We are a blockchain platform/marketplace for NFTs. To help us during this phase of rapid growth, we are looking for a Senior Manager of Risk and Compliance to develop, maintain, and advance the company-wide risk management and compliance frameworks and Instill a culture of risk understanding and ownership across Immutable through initiatives including education, tooling and automation.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the risk and compliance aspects of the most topical and cutting-edge areas of Crypto, Web3 and Blockchain. With a disruptive industry comes exciting problems to solve and the opportunity to make an outsized impact, particularly within a Risk and Compliance role.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop, manage and champion Immutable’s enterprise risk management process for identifying, assessing, and mitigating group risks
  • Advise and support leadership on risk management, including the use of RegTech and other technology-based tools
  • Develop and provide oversight over incident management policies, business continuity plans, change management, network, technology and partner and community resilience activities at Immutable
  • Coordinate all compliance activities, including training and reporting, and ensuring compliance obligations are understood and monitored across the business
  • We would love you to have:

  • 8 years post qualification experience with a mixture of tier 1 consulting or Big Four accounting practice
  • Qualifications or accreditation in Risk or Compliance disciplines or areas
  • Strong knowledge of and experience across enterprise and operational risk management systems for FinTech/crypto
  • Knowledge of and interest in disruptive technology and financial services (including blockchain, digital assets, and Web3 technologies)
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape for Australian, US, or UK tech/blockchain companies, including AML/CTF, financial services licensing, and privacy regimes
  • Leadership capability, including mid-long term strategic thinking
  • Project management experience
  • Experience using RegTech and tools like AuditBoard, OnSpring, LogicGate

    Unique blockchain assets (“NFTs”) are experiencing a massive surge in popularity. These unique assets allow people to own anything from in-game items to digital art, to music, and financial instruments. However, they are highly illiquid: transactions take minutes or hours to confirm, and Ethereum can process fewer than 5 NFTs per second for the whole world combined. 

    To solve this problem for ourselves and for others, we have built Immutable X, a next-generation protocol for trading blockchain assets with instant trade confirmation, massive scalability, and no gas fees without compromising user custody. The goal of Immutable X is to help businesses scale their creation and trading of these unique assets (“NFTs”). 

    Immutable also build two of the most successful NFT-based games, Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians, who serve as initial customers for our platform products.
