About the role.

The Farmer Experience and Support role is part of the field delivery team and is responsible for first line support and customer success of our robots out in the field. This is a “cross over” role, working to help solve robot faults as well as proactively supporting our customers to get the best out of their robot fleet.

Responsibilities of the role.

  • “Over the phone” diagnostics and first line support of robots out in the field
  • Actively build relationships with our farmer customers and proactively assist with training and support to help achieve the best out of our technology
  • Setup and maintain processes to actively monitor and report on robot uptime, faults and issues to the engineering team
  • Job ticket monitoring of customer faults
  • Compile safety manuals, procedures and training materials for robots
  • Assist the field services team to deliver and commission robots throughout Queensland
  • Assist the field delivery team with paddock mapping of fields
  • Provide valuable feedback to our engineering teams on improvements to our software and hardware.
  • To assist with setup and participate in farmer demonstrations events and field days

About you.

To fit into our team, you need to need to be passionate about the SwarmFarm mission and have an unrelenting focus on the success of our farmer customers.

You don’t need to have formal qualifications, but you do need the following attributes.

  • Must have a background in agriculture and clear understanding of farm operations
  • You may have done a trade such as mechanic, auto electrical, or spent time in sales or servicing of  agricultural machinery
  • Confidence to setup and operate farm machinery
  • Ability to actively engage with and communicate well with our farmer customers
  • Be patient and able to sort out difficult problems over the phone.
  • Confident pulling together information and metrics on robot performance to build spreadsheets and reports
  • Confident putting together documents such as safety manuals and operating procedures
  • Flexibility in your approach to work. You will need to occasionally travel to farmer customers and you will also need to provide phone support over weekends and out of hours
  • A collaborative problem solver with a willingness to learn new technology
  • Well organised, proactive and with a high level of attention to detail


The role will be based out of our headquarters at Emerald with occasional travel to farmer customers in Queensland and interstate. Emerald offers a fantastic lifestyle and there are multiple daily flights to and from Brisbane. To learn more about our community click here:
