We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with a passion for data-driven insights and creative data visualisation. The successful candidate must demonstrate keen curiosity, and have strong experience developing end-to-end solutions, from data aggregation to analytics to visualisation. You should enjoy helping all LUX employees become more efficient in their work through data, dashboards and related process improvements.

Working closely with our CFO/VP of Strategy, you will

  • Join a growing BI team as our second hire!
  • Be one of the primary architects and builders of processes between our business data warehouse through to dashboard creation using ETL and API programming
  • Work closely with our engineering team to develop and maintain our business data warehouse
  • Help manage our data from various platforms to be consistent using logical quality assurance methodology
  • Develop alerts and thresholds for data quality to guide data owners on their accountability to fill gaps and repair
  • Have patience and diligence in helping to QA new data fields and workflows
  • Create, manage, and educate stakeholders on data analytics and dashboard visualisations across the company using primarily Tableau
  • Meticulously manage BIA project design and delivery in an agile environment
  • Take disparate pieces of information to help build scalable forecasting methodologies
  • Be comfortable communicating with engineers and various business stakeholders


You’re perfect for this role if you have:

  • At least five years of experience and demonstrated success in a similar BIA role
  • Experience working with AWS and Redshift preferred or other similar data warehouses
  • Experience working with a variety of ETL providers and API programming
  • A portfolio of Tableau or similar business intelligence dashboards that you can explain clearly
  • Expert database/SQL capabilities; advanced Excel skills and Python capabilities
  • Experience in delivering end-to-end ETL projects quickly with minimal ongoing maintenance
  • Keen interest in automation and improving business process efficiency and flows
  • Confidence working with stakeholders across the business to understand how to add value
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to operate with modest guidance
  • A data science or business university degree, or certifications in these areas
  • Strong interest in advancing your machine learning capabilities
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills; additional languages viewed favourably
  • Current and permanent Aussie working rights
