Overview of Position
We are looking for an experienced software engineer with Java expertise. Join our Platform Team and help us build the best UAV command and control experience into Cloud Ground Control.
We're looking for an engineer to participate in our efforts to make our real-time command and control platform reliable and scalable. Think sending and receiving millions of DJI or MavLinks events between 1000s of UAVs and users with the smallest latency possible. A great candidate will be comfortable to quickly contribute to our microservices architecture, and also be happy to learn new things and help improve any part of the system.

Design and develop cloud based solution to monitor and control fleet of vehicles Collaborate with other stakeholders and teams in establishing standards of quality and resolution of features and defectsPerform research to come up with software solutions to novel challenging problems and requirementsWorking with embedded software engineers to complete interoperability of IoT robotics hardware systemsAssist with the development of mobile native and web applicationsMentor junior engineers technically and professionally
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelor of computer science or equivalent experience3+ years of working experience as a Backend Engineer working with Java and Spring coreFamiliar with Spring Boot and Spring JPAExperience with SQL and DBMS (e.g. PostgreSQL)Experience with REST API, web-socket, TCP or gRPC is a plusExperience with OpenVPNAn additional language such as Go is a bonusYou are thriving working with containers in a Linux environment. Ideally you are comfortable with Kubernetes.Familiarity with Cloud providers such AWS
