Your Opportunity:

As the PR & Communications Manager for hipages, you will be instrumental in positioning hipages Group (our corporate brand) as the authority in the industry, while cementing the position of hipages (our consumer brand) as Australia’s largest online tradie marketplace and helping launch our new brand, Tradiecore.

This role spans from building our C-Suite profiles through to designing PR stories built from our data and industry trends, to supporting consumer, B2B and brand activity. The successful candidate will have a true opportunity to fuel our business growth. Not often do you come across such a diversified role, working for an industry leader in the technology world. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, own and implement the PR and Corporate Communications strategy for hipages Group, spanning from media relations, corporate communications, Linkedin content management and support to Investor Relations
  • Build and strengthen the authority of hipages Group as an industry leader through proactive PR stories, leveraging industry trends and internal data to secure high-tier media coverage
  • Develop the media profiles of our key leaders through media relation, Linkedin content planning, attendance at events and industry award submissions
  • Own the relationship with our PR agency, and work closely with our Creative and Content agencies to support consumer-focus campaigns
  • Monitor and safeguard the reputation of the hipages Group business, including maintaining issue preparation matrix and leading crisis communications efforts

You bring:

We’re looking for an independent self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Someone who is a creative thinker with high attention to detail and love of storytelling, is also data-savvy and is able to draw interesting insights from data to craft cut-through PR stories. Someone who is able to effectively  multitask, prioritise then reprioritise and work under pressure while retaining a positive attitude, staying true to our DNA of “Make It Happen”. 

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to various audiences and to influence others. You will have extensive experience in media relations, from developing proactive PR stories to managing inbound media requests. You will also be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise directly with C-Suite, external PR agencies, members of the marketing team and broader business.

Your CV:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in PR, Marketing or Communications      
  • 5+ years’ experience in PR or Corporate Communications for a leading local brand or agency
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work cross functionally, spanning from PR, Corporate Communications, Brand and Content
  • Excellent writing skills and demonstrated capability to write across a variety of channels
  • Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape
  • Experience in Linkedin content management
  • Experience in data visualisation platforms a plus
