Impact to our community

The Product Design team at Envato are looking for a Product Designer to join us in a permanent full-time role.

As a Product Designer at Envato you are an essential part of both the Product Design team, and your Product Delivery team. You’re responsible for understanding, exploring and solving user and business problems as part of a collaborative and user-centred design process on a range of projects balancing the needs of our users with the business goals and company vision.

You will be joining the Content Group to look after our authors who are a community of talented and successful creative entrepreneurs that earn a living through offering high-quality content to the Envato ecosystem.  Our Authors are designers, developers, videomakers, musicians and photographers, just to name a few - (or some of these options at the same time!)

This is an end-to-end Designer role where you will be responsible for understanding our Author experience journey and play a key role in forming the experience authors have using our tools.  Day to day, You’ll be constantly researching, testing and measuring what we are creating. You’ll take the lead with running the research process, while you will pair with your delivery team to solve complex problems and design & implement solutions for various initiatives that impact our author community.

You will be finding easier ways for authors to sell with Envato, so they can make a living out of what they love doing: creating content!

Our expectations

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar UX/product design role with a portfolio showing examples of how you:
  • Explore and understand the user problem via research and demonstrate your ability to translate findings into tangible insights
  • Working with stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Explore different design directions and choose a selected option.
  • Outline next steps/lessons learned
  • In-depth understanding of user interface design including usability, accessibility and responsive design
  • Experience working with engineers in an Agile or Lean environment to make your designs becomes a reality
  • Demonstrated experience with the entire research process (from planning to executing and presenting insights) & research methodologies (such as interviews, user testing, card sorting, surveys, etc)
  • Experience planning and facilitating collaborative workshops
  • You are familiar with Figma, Trello and Survey Tools - and a big plus if you have experience with GitHub. We are often trying new tools, so it would be great if you are a curious mind keen to try new resources!
