FrankieOne is a VC backed, product lead, global fintech that has connected over 300+ global identity and fraud providers into a single platform allowing us to provide a single unified view, single unified API and one damn fine onboarding experience.
Little Frankie is only 2 years old and already our infrastructure powers tier 1 banks, global BNPL players, the majority of Neobanks in Australia and some of the fastest growing fintechs in the world.
Today we are in 46 countries, though this figure might have changed once we have posted this, we are experiencing exponential growth right now which is creating huge opportunities for talented people in our team to get involved in new and exciting projects. How you will impact the teams success
The role of the Delivery Lead in FrankieOne cannot be underestimated, given we are a nimble, product lead company you’ll be at the heart of the company's development. FrankieOne today is a team of 20 enthusiastic and passionate people, though given our growth we are expecting to be 40 people in the next 6 months! This is a critical leadership role and as we scale it’s even more important that the team have clear direction and hence seek your help.
As Delivery Lead you will be leading the Melbourne and Sydney based scrum teams to deliver on the product roadmap items and other features and functions. Facilitating Agile practices, while fostering a culture of high performance, focused not only on developing high quality products with quality, speed and efficiency, but also having fun and promoting team culture.
We work in two week project-based sprints in small, multidisciplinary teams. As we scale and have more and more projects coming on-line we need a Delivery Lead who can scale with us. As a key member of the development team you will lead national scrum teams to achieve brilliant outcomes. You will be a huge part of creating a high-performance culture in the teams and creating an environment that is continuously improving.
You will foster an agile mindset and bring a sense of urgency, an ethos of ownership and a positive energy to the team. Through your pragmatic yet structured and direct approach and focus on detail and outcomes you will be instrumental in the team’s success. You will also be responsible for helping celebrate wins and successes!
3 years + experience as a Delivery Lead in a fast paced environment
Experience working with a startup or an agency or possibly a dynamic consulting firm
Excellent communicator and organiser
Structured approach, strong analytical skills and ability to plan in detail
Fanatical about system thinking and automation
Good coach in Agile practices and can coach individuals to reach their highest potential
Strong knowledge of software development processes, procedures, and limitations
Ability to take and understand his commitment to deliver the product on time
Excellent written skills
Be responsible for product delivery - facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, managing the backlog and retrospective meetings
Management of our project management tool – we use ClickUp.com
Assist in writing tickets and user stories
Conducting basic QA
Understand the technical aspects of new products and feature updates
Expert in estimation and planning
Help team to clarify goals and actions to achieve them
Clear reporting to management on progress of sprints and product development
Management of weekly prioritization meetings and associated gantt charts for product roadmap delivery
Weekly catch ups with the CEO on product progression and any roadblocks
SARe5.0 would be ideal but not essential.

What success looks like
In your first month, we will give you the full induction so that you understand the company culture and meet all of your cross-functional partners. We will ensure that you have all the tools that you need to be successful. You will also spend quite a bit of this time working with Simon, the CEO so that you have a full understanding of FrankieOne’s vision and development roadmap. By the end of the month we’d hope you have a good understanding of our project management tool and feel confident leading daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint demo, managing the backlog and retrospective meetings.
By month 2 you will be an integral part of the team and have a clear understanding of the vision and the workload. You will have a good understanding of estimation and planning, tweaking processes and collaborating with the rest of the team and leaders in the business to improve and optimise production.
At 3 months you will be in a rhythm with the team, coaching team members on how to get the best out of the agile processes and delivering results. You and the team will be celebrating some successful sprints and creating a real energy around what you are doing.
You will report to Andrew Edwards. Andrew is our Tech lead. Before joining Frankie Andrew worked as a CTO for a healthcare startup, prior to that was CTO and Co-Founder for a startup in the online event ticketing space, which sold over $100Million of tickets around the world. When not banging on about metric led development, Andrew is interested in building and playing synthesisers.
In the meantime you will work closely with Simon Costello, FrankieOne’s CEO. Simon initially started his career in investment banking though has since successfully founded 3 further startups across Europe (www.streetbees.com), Asia (www.hyphengroup.io) and Australia (bopple.com), collectively raising over $200m in capital. Simon is a bit of a hippy at heart, rides his bicycle everywhere, lives in the North and his pride and joy is his vegetable patch and wormery.
You’ll be working closely with Aaron Chipper, FrankieOne’s CTO. Aaron has been programming since the age of 7 and has spent the majority of his career either working in or with startups. He spent 20 years building mobile and social payments networks across the globe and was part of the team that sold Fusion Payments to Telstra. When not wrangling 1’s and 0’s, Aaron like to work in his orchard or with his bees.
As an early stage company you’ll witness the company growing in size and value because of your direct impact. We also want you to see the upside in the value you bring and hence offer an attractive equity component to compensation.
We have a flexible work-from-home policy though in the office on Wednesdays and Fridays as a minimum so we can maintain our vibrant office culture. We are based in a high-energy co-sharing office surrounded by lots of other startups and small tech companies.
We get to catch up over breakfast on a Tuesday, drinks and cheese, etc on a Friday, and other team events and gatherings.
