About the Role

As a Security Advisor at Tyro you will be working on a number of different projects alongside business and technology teams. You will be operating as a trusted SME and Cyber Security Advisor, helping to identify areas of cyber risk and improvements. To help you be your best you'll also be provided with the support and encouragement to pursue any areas of interest aligned to Tyro's needs such as IAM, DLP, PCI etc.

What you'll do

  • Work with various teams & business units to assist in identifying and remediating security risks,
  • Raise awareness and understanding of security best practices and secure software development,
  • Be involved in full end-to-end project lifecycle in an agile environment, involved within team/tribe ceremonies including stand-ups etc,
  • Partner with Technology Teams to assist in helping us mature in the cloud more securely,
  • Help to implement, improve and automate security frameworks and controls throughout our environment,
  • Perform technical security reviews, audits, assessments and assist with third party management.
  • Your skills

  • Proven ability to consult to different technology and business teams (Development, Operations, Infosec and Consulting),
  • The ability to encounter security situations, identify possible remedies and provide recommendations with conviction,
  • You're naturally curious and consultative, you ask all the questions to understand situations deeply before jumping into solutions,
  • A strong base in IT and information security concepts with expertise in one or more areas of interest to you (and Tyro) such as IAM, User Awareness, DLP, PCI etc.
  • Demonstrated experience within successful project delivery,
  • Knowledge or exposure to Australian security standards, regulations and frameworks such as ISO, NIST and CPS 234,
  • Commercial exposure to AWS is highly desirable.
