Summary of Role:
We are looking for an Information Architect to join our fast-growing Design Team to work across our suite of innovative products. Working with our design system alongside Product Designers, you will develop modular shell layouts and templates for information by developing and applying design principles. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • In owning and developing IA processes and practises for the wider design team, you will have a broader understanding of the end-to-end product design process from research through prototyping to interface design & usability testing. You understand how to maximise the usability for a platform by working with product teams and developers to achieve your design goals.
  • Things we want you to focus on:
  • Ownership of the cross-product, cross-device information architecture
  • Development of IA within a componentised, interactive design system
  • Copywriting design methodology and component usage guidelines
  • Engagement with relevant stakeholders to determine project requirements and details
  • Audit of key areas of enhancement and improvement in IA
  • Prototyping IA flows and experiences
  • Create and respond to IA measurements of success through analysis and research
  • Develop and communication design principles and developments
  • Maintenance of the UI to standards and benchmarks, including accessibility standards
  • The future of UX/UI, e.g., data vis, spatial modelling, notional A.I., speech, etc.
  • Skills & Experience Required:

  • You will have very strong UX design skills specific to IA practises and can demonstrate this in case studies or in an online portfolio. You have expertise in UX copywriting and embrace an economy of words.
  • 5+ years of product or UX design experience specialising in IA
  • Excellent research skills and experience in validating design hypothesis / information flows
  • Data analytics skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative space; preferably another start-up
  • Experience in end-to-end UX methodology
  • Excellent grammatical skills
  • Ability to understand user behaviour and market trends
  • Strong grasp of design thinking and how it complements agile product development
  • Strong skills creating lo-fi and hi-fi prototypes
  • High-level and confident communication and presentation skills
  • Very high proficiency in Adobe XD and CC (preferred) and/or Figma, Sketch, Flinto, Invision, Miro
