Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, the IT Operations Manager will be responsible for building, leading and administering all of Practice Ignition’s IT processes and operations. You will be our first IT employee, and will be playing a key role in ensuring that our people, processes and technologies are optimal and always seeking opportunities of continuous integration and improvements.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Design and maintain all of our IT processes, operations and procedures
  • Manage communications for our Information System (IS) Technical direction and initiatives 
  • Administer and provide upgrades to systems and escalate issues 
  • Facilitate regular trainings on IT risk management (Risk Identification, Assessment, Fall back Planning) 
  • Build and design processes on how we handle help desk/service escalations and provide user support by handling IT needs on a daily basis (remote and in-person)
  • Work with the Business Operations Manager in developing software access policies & procedures for:

○ Permission requests process 

○ Managing permissions level for all software 

○ Reviewing permissions level on a quarterly basis 

○ Building reports 

  • Work with the Business Operations Manager in developing and streamlining an automated onboarding/offboarding process, specifically by: 

○ Implementing a single sign-on system to manage onboarding/offboarding 

○ Documenting onboarding procedures for core applications, such as: Gsuite, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence), 1Password, Zoom, Slack, Dext, TripActions etc

○ Assessing departmental and business needs related to IT and equipment needs, and make recommendations for procurement 

○ Analyzing equipment upgrading processes through various proactive self initiated projects and ensure efficiency

○ Identifying and building process for hardware management and shipment 



Experience you bring:

  • Demonstrated success and experience with building and leading IT operations & processes at other software/ start up organizations 
  • Strong understanding of how infrastructure works (security, SSO, onboarding)
  • Experience working and supporting clients in multiple countries and across different time zones
  • Experience managing multiple, unique work streams while ensuring high quality results
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specification
  • Solid understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), & networks
  • Familiarity with working with iOS systems and Apple hardware
  • Strong experience in managing multiple competing priorities
