Digital Marketing Specialist - Acquisition:

About the role:

The Acquisition Digital Marketing Specialist’s key role is to deliver quality Booking Software leads to our Inside Sales teams globally. They will be responsible for the strategic optimisation of our global inbound acquisition funnel, including paid and organic initiatives to attract high quality prospects. Their focus will be on building business confidence in our acquisition levers in driving performance in order to unlock increasing acquisition marketing budget.

The Acquisition Digital Marketing Specialist works within the marketing team, but has strong cross-functional relationships with sales, onboarding, insights, product, operations and customer success in particular. The role has responsibility for briefing,  coordinating & overseeing all work from our SEO and performance-marketing agency. Additionally the Specialist will work closely with the Marketing Content Coordinator to deliver strong, relevant & engaging content across the website, social platforms & email.

As a dynamic business that is in fast-growth mode we’re often having to ‘wear two hats’. Which means although the absolute focus of this role is on booking software customer acquisition, there may at times be opportunity/need to contribute to broader initiatives in line with building a platform to power the growth of the experiences industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of prospecting/demand generation performance and activity across owned and paid platforms
  • Ownership and management of our monthly performance budget, working in partnership with our agency to drive return on agency fees and ad spend (ROA) across SEM, Social (prospecting & retargeting), Display & SEO 
  • Continual refinements across owned channels to improve lead quality - SEO, landing pages, website UX, email...
  • Briefing and testing of acquisition-focused campaign assets 
  • Ruthless focus on funnel optimisation - broadly, and with both a geographic and channel lens
  • Plan, brief, review & approve all non-paid channels content to the Content Coordinator and/or external agencies as appropriate (design, copywriters etc…)
  • Working closely with your manager on overall acquisition strategic initiatives & planning and how we can drive more results for the business
  • Collaborate within a multi-functional acquisition squad (marketing, sales, onboarding, insights) focused on collective problem-solving to optimise the customer journey through to business value
  • Communicate key performance data, insights, actionable recommendations and initiatives back to the leadership team and broader business
  • Keep up to date with competitor and industry moves and identify strategic opportunities accordingly. 

Your skills/experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in a global B2B acquisition/ demand generation role with demonstrated success in managing acquisition marketing campaigns that drive significant growth in engagement, MQLs and sales opportunities.
  • Experience with the following channels: Search Engines (paid & organic), Display, Facebook, LinkedIn, Email, customer review sites...
  • Sound understanding of CRM tools/marketing automation platforms - Hubspot preferred
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics & Google Search Console
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Budget management
  • Basic HTML for email or landing pages.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital, comms or related field (Desired, but not essential)
  • Previous experience in any of the following industries or business types: B2B SaaS, Startup, Travel/tourism, eCommerce, Marketplaces
