We're looking for a data-driven Head of Marketing with a passion for organic performance marketing and category creation. This person will help take our already strong internal marketing team to the next level! The primary goal of this role is to create compelling marketing for a B2B Saas product that is disruptive to marketing - it’s truly a one-of-a-kind career opportunity. Prior experience in eCommerce, tech scale-ups, and marketing agencies will be very helpful in this role.

You will be a part of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and working collaboratively with leadership peers across all functions. You will drive the development and execution of end-to-end marketing strategies from top-of-funnel content marketing to demo conversion through product marketing. It’s an awesome chance to market Longtail UX’s unique high-revenue growth product to enterprise eCommerce companies globally.

You’re right for this role if you have experience in;

  • Performance marketing strategy: Lead the development and implementation of a long-term lead generation strategy primarily through data-driven organic performance (SEO) marketing, with an emphasis on achieving B2B sales growth, market penetration and efficient customer acquisition.
  • Organic channel strategy: lead all aspects of marketing, including website, campaigns, design, webinars and more, andgenerate bold and inventive ideas for utilising new organic channels to drive client acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Category creation: Help to define, pursue and communicate a new product category by aligning content marketing efforts to our core product and brand messaging.
  • Marketing funnel: Help us delight audiences, prospects and clients throughout their entire journey with LUX (from nurturing and active sales to client onboarding and retention) and deliver and communicate long-term client value according to established personas.
  • Product marketing: Understand the product in-depth, working with our product and client growth teams to help prospects clearly see how our specific solutions solve their problems and drive growth.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, Sales and Product teams to optimise and scale up our go-to-market strategy
  • Operational: strengthen the use of existing and new tools and systems like our Hubspot/CRM implementation.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate our company's five values effectively by motivating and inspiring a highly-competent team, providing and receiving feedback fairly and openly and having the flexibility to solve problems in an ever-changing workplace, to ultimately take our great marketing team to the next level!
  • PR: Own Longtail UX’s reputation and recognition, including brand, PR and communications
What does success look like?
  • Create and implement a holistic marketing plan with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) within 90 days of the start date.
  • Maintain or exceed Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) monthly target of 425
  • Maintain marketing cost per demo completed per month of less than $2.25k
  • Maintain or exceed the monthly number of demos completed of at least 35
Skills and qualifications
  • University degree in marketing, business, strategy, eCommerce or similar field; additional certifications and demonstration of ongoing development viewed positively.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, ideally in technology, eCommerce, leadership, and high-value B2B products; can be either client-side, agency, or ideally both.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing and mentoring high-performance, highly motivated teams that genuinely care about their mission and collaborate with others
  • Experience working closely with B2B enterprise salespeople to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and leverage data, metrics, analytics and consumer behaviour trends to drive actionable insights & recommendations.
  • Possess expertise and comfort in written content, design and the interaction between the two.
  • Hold previous experience leading B2B marketing campaigns and strategy, ideally in the enterprise eCommerce and technology space.
  • Experience in high-revenue growth technology, software or digital advertising companies.
  • A passion for innovation and standardisation into scalable/repeatable processes.
  • Keen interest in the pace, opportunities, and challenges of a scale-up environment
  • A self-directed, motivated, problem-solving mentality who requires only modest guidance to excel in this role
