This is an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Manager with outstanding internal communications skills and a curious attitude to join THE ICONIC team on a 12-month contract (parental leave cover). You will report directly to the Head of Communications ANZ. You will be responsible for executing key internal communication strategies for the entire THE ICONIC’s business, with one direct report (Internal Communications Specialist).

You will be an experienced Internal Comms Manager who is interested in joining a rapidly agile, innovative and fun company. The role requires strategic and creative on-the-job thinking, and a passion for storytelling that captures the attention of our employees via internal channels (e.g. Workplace, Slack). 

You will ideally have people management experience. You will be super organised and able to juggle multiple tasks/projects with ease. You will be an expert in stakeholder management, having worked in a similar organisation (large corporate). A real ‘people-person’, you  thrive on building strong working relationships with all people, including Executives.

  • Exceptional written, verbal and visual communication skills
  • Ability to write with employees in mind - putting our ICONITEs at the centre 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to work well under pressure 
  • Expert in internal comms tools (e.g. Workplace, Slack)
  • Ability to develop defined tones of voice and adapt for varied audiences
  • Experience with designing communications to support change management
  • Experience in blending modern communication channels for engaging results
  • Experience in activating employee events (virtual and in-person) from concept to delivery
  • An agile, continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to manage priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • People management experience (ideal but not essential)

  • Minimum 5+ years in Internal Communications, with experience in some or all of the following areas: ecommerce, tech, retail or large corporate. 
  • You’re a storyteller, delivering compelling and purposeful internal campaigns
  • You support and help build the organisational culture through communications
  • You maximise the use of technology to create blended initiatives
  • You develop solutions that are flexible and scalable across all areas (as part of a growing and fast-paced business)
  • You’re data-driven, using insights to shape and support content, processes and approach
  • You produce quality over quantity, ensuring key messages achieve the right cut through at the right time
  • You’re a trusted advisor and you use your skills to deliver sound internal communications advice and direction
  • You build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders
  • You manage and drive engagement with internal communications platforms
  • You contribute to employee engagement by supporting understanding and clarity of organisational initiatives
  • You love e-commerce and retail, and are keen to join a tech company that is an innovator at its core. 
  • You’re energised, excited and proactive.
