As Corporate Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading corporate development projects and drive growth opportunities for the Brighte Capital business, reporting to the Chief Corporate Development Officer. Corporate development initiatives will span fundraising, M&A, investor relations, new product lines and market expansion activities to identify overall opportunities for the business.
 
Alongside the wider Corporate Development team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with Brighte management, investors, other external counter parties and internal stakeholders. Brighte has a culture of transparency, professionalism, engagement, and high standards.

What you'll do

  • Work with the Chief Corporate Development Officer on general commercial activities and special projects
  • Research tasks for new products and business lines
  • Identifying and exploring new target markets
  • Leading project management and execution
  • Presenting findings to C-suite, board and investors
  • Identifying and exploring M&A opportunities across both group and product level
  • Identifying and building business cases for technology investments
  • Execution and management of potential strategic transactions
  • Build analytical and forecast models that utilise both financial and non-financial data
  • Undertake research and analytics to support transactions
  • Drafting presentations, papers and other related materials for management, board and investors 
  • Assisting with debt and equity funding requirements
  • Undertaking strategy research and analysis, identifying market trends and insights to guide strategy
  • Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
  • Assisting Corporate Development team members with fundraising activities and communication with existing investors
  • Who you are

  • At least 4 years’ experience in an investment banking or corporate strategy role, with strong transaction experience.
  • Project management experience. Specifically, execution/delivery of corporate transactions.
  • Financial modelling experience and understanding of financial statements.
  • A Tertiary Degree/Post-Grad qualification in a relevant discipline. eg. Finance/Economics/Mathematics, Econometrics.
  • Be self-motivated, driven, highly organised and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent in analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to drive results in individuals/teams.
