About the Role

As Zeller’s CRM Manager, you’ll become an integral part of our Growth team to drive demand, aid onboarding, improve engagement, and strengthen retention from our existing database of current and potential merchants. You will partner closely with creative, sales and product teams to shape and refine our lifecycle strategy to onboard new merchants to Zeller, to communicate value of new Zeller products and features through email marketing, to drive demand from potential leads and nurture them through the funnel to the Zeller Sales team, and prevent churn to reactivate dormant customers. 

The right person will be a hands-on B2B marketer, with skills in all things email, lifecycle and demand-generation, and come armed with skills in content creation, customer communications, HTML, workflow management, rules and exception management, audience segmentation and CRM analytics. You will have delivered countless email campaigns that accelerate customer demand, support onboarding and establishment of new customers, communicate value, and drive re-engagement. 

This is an exciting role for a skilled marketer with 4+ years of hands-on, in-house experience in email marketing, lifecycle management and demand generation. You will be ready to hone your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment in one of Australia’s fastest growing fintech brands.

Role responsibilities

  • Own the email lifecycle journey for all new customers — from sign-up, to activation to onboarding education, to establishment, to retention.
  • Support the Sales team by executing an efficient Demand Generation and Nurture campaign activities that convert leads through to new opportunities.
  • Work with our Growth Marketing Manager to execute lead generation campaigns that grow the top of the Sales pipeline
  • Schedule, plan, build, test, send and report on CRM communications via the Hubspot Marketing Hub. 
  • Monitor merchant churn and execute campaigns that minimise it.
  • Drive engagement and frequency with new and existing customers to ensure that Zeller is kept top of mind, and that new merchants are receiving the right message, on the right channel, at the right time. 
  • Collaborate with the Product and Marketing teams to announce new features and products in creative and engaging ways that drive adoption and understanding.
  • Ongoing A/B testing to consistently optimise and improve Zeller communications.
  • Partner with our Creative team to brief and design emails that drive amazing engagement and align with the Zeller brand.  
  • Use analytics to deliver insights back to the business that showcase the impact of each campaign, and determine opportunities to scale.
  • Deeply understand Zeller’s merchants and identify opportunities for growth and optimisation at every stage of their lifecycle.
  • Own and optimise the merchant experience in the onboarding funnel to help the wider Growth team exceed our ambitious targets.
  • Qualifications and experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working in Lifecycle Marketing, Demand Generation or CRM. 
  • A proven passion for CRM and lifecycle marketing. 
  • You are always thinking about opportunities that we should be doing — developing new campaigns, analysing data to identify opportunities to improve, and planning and launching impactful programs that drive proven results. 
  • Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of the leading tools, platforms and technologies to make CRM more efficient. You’ll thrive on educating others in the business on what you’re doing and why it’s important. 
  • You’re a creative and empathetic thinking — you always put the merchant first. 
  • Outstanding attention to detail and an eye for design; down to the subject line, preview, alignment or image crop. 
  • A solid understanding of CRM analytics and A/B testing. You’re an advanced excel nerd. 
  • A tertiary education, or a track record of relevant experience that proves it wasn’t needed.
  • A creative mind that can deliver and execute on bold ideas.
  • A can-do attitude.l You’re not afraid to roll-up your sleeves and make it happen. You don’t get overwhelmed by an impending deadline.
  • A hunger to win; you thrive on having a target and achieving it at all costs.
