The role

We are growing and are currently seeking a Desktop / IT Systems Support Engineer to support Seer’s teams both remotely and on-site to assist in the delivery of projects to a range of departments. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the IT Systems, Networks, and overall IT Infrastructure of the business. This role will also work closely with the platform and development teams to perform internal application support which for the right candidate will lead to specialisation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance over the phone or email and provide guidance and support with simple, step-by-step instructions
  • Setting up, configuring and managing end-user devices using our MDM platform (MacOS, iOS, and Windows devices)
  • Performing IT inductions for new starters
  • Managing AV assets (Zoom Rooms) and troubleshooting when necessary
  • Assisting with project tasks within the team
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Provide Application Support for various in house and close systems

About you

  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Highly motivated and business focused
  • Interest in software development and desire to further your knowledge
    • Scripting/programming experience
    • Custom application support experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solution focused mindset
  • Flexible and adaptable to constant change of a fast-growing environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Customer-oriented attitude
  • Database / SQL experience (nice to have)
  • AWS experience (nice to have)
