Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Investor Relations will be ideally based in Australia or the United States. The Investor Relations function will own communication of Megaport’s product and technology platform, competitive advantages, business model and financial results to external audiences, including institutional investors and research analysts. The ideal candidate will draw broadly upon multiple disciplines, including finance, communications, marketing and data science. This role will require a firm understanding of Megaport’s technology roadmap and impact within the cloud, networking, data centre, and IT industries.

What You’ll Be Doing
Develop communication strategy, plans, and materials while working closely with the Executive, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Legal teams to highlight the company’s financial performance, product roadmap, and strategy.Develop investor communications including press releases, executive talking points, conference call scripts, earnings presentations, investor website content, fact sheets, and investor presentations, among others.Manage relationships with buy-side and sell-side investors, investment analysts, and existing and prospective institutional shareholders.Support all communication within the investment community regarding the Company’s business model, market news, operating and financial results, business strategies and special developments.Support communications for all aspects of ASX reporting including earnings reports — including preparation of quarterly financial press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A documents, investor presentations and other associated materials as well as Annual Reports and Full and Half Year Reports.Manage and maintain the company’s IR contact database on WeConvene.Represent the company at investment conferences and at onsite and online investor meetings, including Half Year and Full Year Financial Result roadshow activities.Manage logistics and materials for participation in investor conferences, webinars and roadshows, including communication with organizers, coordination of schedules and creation of presentation materials.Manage the company’s engagement with shareholders, taking responsibility for ensuring direct, open, timely and effective two-way communication with all shareholders, encouraging shareholder participation at general meetings and otherwise ensuring that the company acts in accordance with its Shareholder Communication and Participation Policy.Develop and lead implementation of the company’s Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy.Manage logistics for company-hosted IR events including office visits and analyst days.Maintain and proactively report accurate data of analysts’ financial estimates, projections and consensus.Benchmark and analyze financial, KPI, and other relevant data points for the Company and its peers related to investor materials and performance reporting.Advise Executive Team on issues involving analyst and investor perception of the long term growth and health of the business.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in finance or relevant business degree or equivalent work experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in investor relations or sell-side or buy-side research, investment banking, finance or accounting.Proven success in building an Investor Relations program in high-growth, public technology companies.High degree of financial literacy with attention to detail and accuracy.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Proven proficiency in developing presentations and materials for investors and market venues.Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and productivity and communications programs.Solid project management skills – strong ability to manage time-sensitive projects through the coordination of multiple resources.Firm understanding of protocols and reporting requirements for public companies listed on Australian Stock Exchange.High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Effective communication with all levels of the organization.Passion for the technology sector and its intersection with investment.Dependable, thoughtful and motivated individual contributor and a dedicated team player.Global travel is to be expected up to 20%, once permitted.
