The bookkeeper role will be an integral part of our growing finance team within G&A, and will assist with all things bookkeeping with a specialisation in payroll. They will provide support to the finance team including working with our external accounting agencies across our four locations.

We are looking for someone who is a payroll guru, having extensive knowledge in payroll systems, processing and review.

Responsibilities

Payroll Processing - Australia

  • Process fortnightly payroll in Australia using Keypay
  • Input variable compensation, including PAYG adjustments
  • Manage superannuation payments
  • Complete quarterly wage reconciliations and annual STP finalisation
  • Calculate and lodge payroll tax returns

Payroll Processing - International

  • Liaise with external agencies to communicate new hires, terminations and payroll changes
  • Review of payroll reports
  • Manage leave in the UK, including monthly accrual calculations

Accounts Receivable

  • Assist with follow up of overdue invoices

Accounts Payable

  • Submit invoices for payment
  • Review employee expense claims

Data Entry

  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Assist with month end close, including entry of recurring monthly journals

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processing
  • 1+ years of experience in data entry and bank reconciliation
  • High level numeracy skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to implement and identify process improvements

Desired Skills / Experience

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using Keypay or Netsuite
  • Understanding and knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience working in start-ups
