Catch is looking for an Events Merchandiser to join our Marketplace team based at the Head Office in Bentleigh East. Reporting to the Head of Marketplace, your focus is to ensure Catch customers are provided with the best possible website shopping experience, with well-presented products and accurate information.

You’ll be responsible for the supply and promotion of products across Marketplace and oversee different categories of website products and help coordinate inventory and marketing campaigns. Utilising your passion and enthusiasm for retail, you’ll coordinate which merchandise needs a marketing campaign and what is a top seller.

What does a normal day in the life of a Marketplace Events Merchandiser look like?

  • You’ll be coordinating daily visual merchandising in line with brand guidelines for the Catch website including digital marketing campaigns and ad-hoc requests as they arise
  • You’ll be a whizz with numbers and able to analyse products both quantitatively and qualitatively
  • You’ll be heavily involved in performance tracking and ad-hoc tasks to ensure customer service excellence
  • You’ll support the Marketplace team on data analysis to drive in-season business and inform product strategies including weekly reporting research
  • You’ll help to identify product opportunities and trends though targeted customer and competitor research
  • You’ll attend and speak in cross-functional meetings representing the needs of your team
  • You’ll ensure new product go online in a timely manner and are displayed in line with expectations

Requirements

  • Experience working within a retail organisation – this can be online, digital or in-store
  • Experience monitoring and allocating stock and understanding promotional material, ideally being involved in the creative aspects of promotions
  • The ability to review reports and analyse data and be able to articulate findings back to the business
  • An understanding of the merchandising lifecycle and coordinating merchandise events, working with suppliers around stock levels and working with design teams for promotion activity
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written – you’ll be interacting with Senior Managers, the Marketplace and Design Team and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the program Tableau is advantageous
  • Enthusiasm and passion for retail
