SafetyCulture is looking for a Payroll Officer to join our growing finance team. You will be responsible for managing our payroll operations which currently span across five countries and impact 700+ staff. This role is responsible for administering the Australian payroll and overseeing outsourced providers in other regions.

About you

  • 2+ years financial payroll officer experience
  • Exposure to payroll in other countries such as the US, UK, Netherlands, and Philippines.
  • Experience working with, or within, an outsourced payroll providerHigh level of written and verbal communication including stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for optimisation, simplification, standardisation and automation of processes, practices and systems and discuss these with the team.
  • Customer centric focused. 
  • Experience in a SaaS or high-growth technology business
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field
  • How you will spend your time

  • Support the team to ensure accurate and timely payment of 700+ employees and other statutory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance of all processes and to external law and regulations.
  • Strong communication emphasis – Via email, phone, face to face, where applicable
  • Maintain, implement and comply with up to date information on changes to payroll and taxation legislation.
  • Diagnosing and resolving incidents, analysing and completing requests
  • Solicit feedback from internal and external business partners to define and develop successful, scalable processes and practices.
  • Support the Accounting team with providing accurate and timely leave and expense reporting for month end processes.
  • Work with offshore resource to enhance efficiency in payroll processing.
