annalise.ai is a global leader in applied medical AI and was formed through a unique partnership between harrison.ai and Australia's largest medical imaging service provider, I-MED Radiology Network. Leveraging our diverse and extensive medical imaging dataset, annalise.ai is developing tools to assist Radiologists by seamlessly integrating into their current workflow to provide diagnostic support. Our suite of comprehensive AI-solutions will support radiologists during their end-to-end process of imaging interpretation. 

About your role
Reporting to our Co-Founder/CEO, as Head of Research at annalise.ai you will play a vital role in overseeing research projects and publishing for our multi-service, global clinical research program. Key accountabilities will include strategy development and planning, overseeing programs of studies designed to test newly developed machine learning products, publishing in high impact journals and enabling our company to meet regulatory requirements. Leading a cross-functional team of clinical researchers, this role will see you coordinate interactions with a wide range of sponsors and stakeholders. You will be the focal point for managing clinical research programs and have the opportunity to lead our team of uniquely talented professionals here at annalise.ai. What you'll do:

  • Develop clinical research strategy and the clinical research roadmap along with one- and three-year plans;
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and team management capabilities;
  • Build collaborative partnership relationships with leading institutions and key opinion leaders to facilitate the successful delivery of the clinical research strategy;
  • Oversee research programs, including providing appropriate direction and leadership on clinical research programs;
  • Monitor studies and manage risk;
  • Conduct clinical studies in accordance with all relevant ethical standards, guidelines and applicable regulations to produce quality clinical evidence; and
  • Oversee the publication of studies in peer-reviewed journals.
  • What will help you succeed:

  • Research experience at Head of / Director level within the medical device industry;
  • Extensive experience running clinical studies; and
  • Bachelor’s degree, PhD and/or other post-graduate qualification in a relevant area of medical science (e.g., science, life sciences, medicine).
  • Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Experience working in research involving artificial intelligence, SaMD and/or medical imaging;
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies, including an understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to clinical studies (FDA, TGA, EU); and/or
  • Management consulting experience.
