At Airtasker, our Talent Acquisition team is responsible for ensuring that we find and bring on board the right fit people to work on our unique challenges and help us achieve our mission.
We are looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition who will build out a world-class recruiting organisation and fuel Airtasker’s rapid growth. You will drive strategic talent projects such as:
- Process improvement
- Reporting and talent analytics
- Employer brand, recruitment marketing, and communications
- D&I recruitment strategies.
As the people manager and organisational leader of the TA function, you will be accountable for enabling the TA team in developing and delivering TA strategies to ensure the success of functions across the business.

What you’ll do:
Operate efficient and agile processes for hiring the right talent in a timely manner.In partnership with leaders across the company, develop and maintain a hiring process that is accurate and efficient in evaluating and hiring candidates, while optimising for candidate experience.Drive an awareness of Diversity & Inclusion best practices across all aspects of the hiring process.Drive down the cost of talent acquisition by building a strong and distinctive employer brand, and employing a data-driven approach to selecting and optimising sourcing channels.Create a candidate-centric organisation that is committed to delivering an excellent candidate experience, every time. Act as the voice of the candidate across the organisation.Develop an effective hiring analytics and reporting capability that allows clear visibility into Talent Acquisition activities across the organisation.Foster subject-matter expertise in market conditions across key talent pools, and share that knowledge and context with relevant stakeholders across the organisation.Coach the Talent Acquisition team members to drive high performance in the delivery of improved hiring manager and candidate experience, ensuring continuous improvement in capability and outcomes.
What it takes to be successful in this role:
Strong knowledge of recruitment best practice.A strong understanding of local and international talent markets relevant to Airtasker A strong knowledge of recruitment performance metrics Ability to connect TA strategy and priorities to the current business context and needsAbility to build strong working relationships with the key senior business stakeholders (strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills)Ability to scope and prioritise work to meet business and function requirementsWell-developed analytical and problem solving skills Strong people management and coaching skillsComfort with managing large budgets in an environment of dynamic and changing requirementsEmployer marketing skills, ability to build an employer brand and optimise channels to meet talent needs
