We are on the lookout for a Team Lead (Technical Security Consultancy) to join the Security group, part of the wider Technology portfolio, based in either Wellington, Auckland or Melbourne.
The Team Lead - Technical Security Consultants will provide leadership and direction over Technical Security Consultancy and champion the adoption of security practices and the building of secure environments within Xero.
You’ll be part of a team of motivated Team Leads collaborating on initiatives to continually improve people processes for recruitment, growth, training and other areas. You’ll also work with peers in product and engineering as a cross-functional leadership team to ensure your pods have what they need to be successful.
What you'll do:
Work alongside the Security Leadership team (Compliance and Risk, Education and Awareness, Engineering, Identity and Access Management and Security Operations) to provide leadership within Xero in regards to security and champion the adoption of security practices and the building of secure environmentsBuild and maintain a strong relationship with the Lead Portfolio Architect - Security Portfolio and the Security Architects ensuring the Technical Security Consultants team compliments Xeros architectural designMotivate, lead and develop a team of high performing Security Technical Consultants.Coach and mentor each of your direct reports to help them become the best versions of themselves they can be, using a variety of techniques which may include performance feedback and career development Work with the wider Xero Security Team to ensure that good security practice exists and is promoted within the organisation through the consideration of risk, compliance and operational requirementsCommunicate technical security solutions across Product, Platform and internal systems that improve Xero’s security posture and meets Xero’s business needs Continuously improve existing securityLead knowledge sharing and collaboration of technical security consultancy across XeroRepresent Xero to external-facing forums, blogs and events. Maintain strong relationships with key security vendors Maintain a high level of clear and consistent communication across all teams at XeroProvide strong leadership through people-focused tasks including recruitment, leave management, performance reviews, training and development.
