Reporting to the Mobile Development Lead, you will work as part of a cross-functional squad to contribute to our Android apps and middle-tier services. Our app is used by members seeking help and support on their mental health, wellbeing, physical health and/or safety.

Your day to day activities include:

  • Design, specification, implementation, and testing of software in an iterative development process
  • Software integration and customisation
  • Creation of technical documentation
  • Diagnosis of problems and performance analysis
  • You'll work closely with the design teams and Product Managers to continually iterate and integrate new ideas
  • Participate in design and code reviews

Who are we looking for?

Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about the Android ecosystem and is looking to work in an environment which will drive their personal growth as a software engineer.

This person will have;

  • 3+ years in Android development
  • 2+ years of Kotlin Experience
  • Experience working with Maps (google maps, mapbox etc) is helpful, but we can teach the right person
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Passion for learning new technologies – required
  • Must be able to demonstrate a portfolio of Android applications you have developed and launched on App Store
  • Strong experience in native Android development frameworks (including Android Jetpack LiveData and ViewModel)
  • Team player
