As an Accountant you will be processing, recording, analysing and reporting on financial transactions and information and/or supervising the payroll process and preparing various management reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Main activities

  • Managing the employment costs budget and preparing various management reports related to same
  • Business Partnering with department heads in assisting the management of their employment cost budgets
  • Supervising and Assisting with Payroll processing across ANZ, Asia and Americas
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of statutory returns related to Payroll as required.
  • Updating Actuals for Revenue and Employment Expenses in Anaplan (budgeting system)
  • Calculation of Quarterly / Half Yearly Sales incentives / commissions and getting them approved with review from Business Stakeholders
  • Accounting of Sales Incentives as per AASB 15
  • Calculation and recording of Share Based Payments related to Performance Right Plans in accordance with AASB 2
  • Reconciling all Balance Sheet Accounts related to activities performed
  • Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of Intangible assets in accordance with AASB 138
  • Reconciling Intangible Assets and ensuring documentation is reviewed and up to date
  • Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.
  • Provide documentation for Intangible assets during statutory audits or any Govt audits that involve intangible assets.
  • Updating and managing internal stakeholders for changes related to Accounting Standards and writing Audit / Technical Papers for the same
  • Assisting with special projects concerning a wide-range of commercial accounting issues as required.
  • Providing analyses and commentary to accounts and financial/management reports related to activities performed

Key skills

  • Ability to analyse and communicate financial information.
  • Sound knowledge of organisational accounting procedures and accounting standards
  • Developing skills within financial/management accounting principles.
  • Computer literacy - with a sound knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet programmes.
  • Able to work independently and as a team member in a collaborative environment

 Typical experience

  • At least 4 - 5 years of relevant accounting experience - including exposure to such activities as general accounting, Capitalization of Development Costs, Payroll, Financial Analysis and reports.
  • Will possess recognised professional qualifications such as CA or CPA
  • Experience with Big4 or with a SaaS entity will be advantageous
