The Opportunity
This is a newly created role within the Strategy Organisation, reporting to the Media Strategy & Insights Team Lead.  The purpose of the role is to partner with the Ads Teams internally to ensure we provide meaningful insights and reporting to our clients.  This includes managing our 1st party audience taxonomy, connecting the analytics data we access internally to client and sellers needs, and being able to guide future insights needs on behalf of our sales team.  We are looking to arm our internal partners with the tools to differentiate Afterpay from competitors in the ads space by showing the value of our users and how we can best align them to client campaign success.

  • This role will support in driving Afterpay Ads Strategy, including driving Audience requirements and insights, building playbooks for merchant facing insights, and partnering with our analytics team on needs for Afterpay ads merchant reporting
  • Collaborate with members of the Ads Sales team to empower bespoke sales content to help sign on and grow client investment in our advertising product
  • Partner with Sales and Product Marketing to make sure we have proper scope of the business questions we are trying to tackle and make sure we are scoping the correct data and inputs to meet those business needs.
  • Review insights and reporting capabilities to ensure we provide the best possible support to our highest value merchants
  • Ability to internally scope and address business challenges with key stakeholders to drive scalable solutions
  • Help contextualise 1st party data in meaningful ways that helps unlock activation opportunities for our advertising clients

  • 5+ years working with digital media, preferably with 1+ years of affiliate marketing experience
  • Past experience with customer insights or a client facing media role with direct ownership of content shared with external stakeholders
  • Ability to translate performance results and insights into actionable media recommendations
  • Experience building audiences or segments for media activationProficient with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Domo
  • Ability to think critically, problem solve, and prioritise across competing performance metrics and campaign goals
  • Experience working in global environments managing multiple markets and stakeholders 
  • Deep analytical mindset with great attention to detail
  • Proficient in SQL is preferred but not required
