About the role 🏠
You will enable the education and conversion of aspiring homeowners and support OwnHome partnerships in building out new sales channels and launching into new markets. You will excel in this role if you’re a superstar at delighting customers and driving revenue!
This position offers an exciting and high-visibility opportunity to partner with the OwnHome founders and senior leadership team to accelerate the growth trajectory of our businesses. You’ll work cross-functionally between our sales, partnerships, operations, and marketing to drive revenue growth.
Your Mission 🚀
Build rapport with clients and identify their individual needs: you are the face of the business and will be the first to respond to a high volume of inbound leads. Your ability to quickly establish a connection with prospects and ‘peel back the layers of the onion’ to understand their personal needs and challenges is, mission critical to progressing the opportunity towards conversation while effectively communicating the value OwnHome can deliver.
Collaborate with our Growth Manager and Head of Partnerships: on top of the funnel efforts, feeding back intel on customer archetypes best served by OwnHome.
Foster a high-performance and motivated sales team.
Support day-to-day operations with the Growth Manager including sales reporting, forecasting, pipeline analysis, and monthly/quarterly reviews.
Drive sales excellence
Ensure revenue targets are achieved and lead conversion is optimised.
Execute disciplined follow up: You are hungry for results and disciplined in your follow-up. You confirm the next best action with the client and set reminder tasks to follow through on what you promised.
Close with value in mind: convert leads into new committed OwnHomers. Embrace value-based selling-an approach focused on benefiting the customer throughout the sales experience. As Sales Lead, you embrace a consultative approach to provide value to the customer - so the sales decision is made based on the potential value OwnHome can provide.
Manage the CRM: effective database management in the CRM is critical to your success. You implement effective tactics to ensure that there are no gaps in your CRM records.

Play a key role in all planning cycles: including forecast modelling.
Seek to streamline sales processes and CRM workflows.
Work with Partnerships to design and implement win-win partnerships
Develop strong working relationships with peers and cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives.
Exceed customer expectations
Build trusted and sustainable relationships with customers.
Overcome customer objections: overcoming objections is a core part of a Growth Manager’s everyday life. Our ability to overcome objections and brush-offs calmly, coolly, and with the right data-rich stories, will differentiate us from competition and substitute options. Develop customer value propositions that drive value for customers and solve their problems.
Gather and act on customer feedback to continually improve the services we deliver.
Monitor industry trends, existing and new market entrants, and act to capitalizeon new opportunities.

2+ years of experience in sales within a high-growth startup or real-estate experience is preferred. Outbound phone experience / Inside sales experience is also preferred.
You care about financial equality and believe that homeownership is a strong lever for financial security and wealth generation.
You are a self-starter with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision.
You are impatient to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done. Further, you know how to build authentic trust-based relationships and are excited about smashing goals.
You are comfortable navigating challenging customer issues and resolving them effectively.
You work well with your peers and build relationships that influence and motivate people at all levels.
You possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
You have strong customer relationship skills: storytelling, listening, consulting, and showing empathy and compassion.
You are a skilled negotiator with a high-EQ.
You have experience using Hubspot or similar CRM
