At Wandora, we're on a mission to restore the connection between small businesses and their customers. We're starting with the tourism industry, where big booking sites like Expedia and Viator have hijacked bookings, taking over 20% per transaction and making it very hard for small operators to thrive. Through the Wandora platform, tourism operators can quickly launch their booking website, optimise for conversion and decrease abandonment risk with a range of social proof and trust modules that capture, convince and convert.

We are a venture-backed, early-stage startup looking now to build out a diverse founding team of talented people who want to put something good out into the world and have fun in the process. We believe we can build a truly impactful, global business, and we'd love you to join us.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial Operations Manager to be a founding member of the Wandora team. You will be working side-by-side with the founder to build and shape the business, and you'll help ensure we are set up for scale while driving bottom-line growth. As an essential member of the founding team, you'll be in a unique position to develop this role as you see fit and play a hand in advancing the company culture and vision as we grow.

This is the start of a long (but exciting) journey, and you should have an understanding and tolerance for the uncertainties that come with early-stage startups and be driven by a desire to build a business that can genuinely change lives. Ideally, you'll have previous startup experience and should be a self-starter and creative problem solver who loves to get things done.

What you'll do

  • Develop and drive important strategic and operational projects across the business
  • Support go-to-market, sales and acquisition initiatives
  • Design, implement and manage internal systems and processes
  • Build and develop relations with customers, partners, vendors and investors
  • Support with budgeting, forecasting and financial development
  • Recruit, grow and offer ongoing support to employees across the business

Who you are

  • Experience in operations, business development, marketing or sales
  • Prior experience within early or growth-stage startups; ideally B2B SaaS or e-commerce
  • An eagerness to solve real human problems and a desire to change the status quo
  • A passion for people with the gift of the gab
  • Have strong creative problem-solving skills while being process driven
  • Background working within or around tourism or other service-based businesses is a bonus

Whilst this is a salaried position, we believe it's important to know that, like most early-stage startups, the salary is nothing to write home about, at least until our next funding round (expected early-to-mid 2022). We are offering equity to founding team members to balance the risk, and we are keen to welcome anyone excited by the opportunity to the team.
