We're looking for an Engineering Manager to help lead our Ecosystem Mobile Platform team within the pacific timezone. As a leader within our Atlassian Ecosystem, you’ll be building a team of engineers that manages the infrastructure, services, APIs that power the vast majority of apps that vendors use to extend our products. Our focus is on the third-party developer and providing them with a platform that satisfies their reliability, security, and compliance needs which they, after adding product value, offer to our customers. Together, we are enabling customers to confidently extend their Atlassian Cloud products, without trading off on security or reliability.

You'll be responsible for building effective teams, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into broader context. Your greatest responsibility will be looking after the individuals reporting to you, coaching and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Experience leading an engineering team in a technical capacity
  • Experience with building large scale web software
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologiesAbility to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality
  • Strong customer attitude, while balancing contending priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet business outcomes
  • Experience in the following is preferred:

  • Employee performance and growth management
  • Experience with large scale distributed systems
  • Experience with microservices
  • Demonstrated experience with mobile technologies (Android or Swift)
