About the job

Our IT Support team is instrumental to ensuring that everything is run smoothly at Wisr, from setting up new starters, monitoring and maintaining computer systems, resolving networking issues to implementing new and improved solutions.

We are currently looking for a highly technical, customer focused IT Support Engineer to join the team - this role requires you to be primarily based out of our office in The Rocks where you will be a trusted part of the business, providing timely and accurate solutions to technical issues.

By utilising our ITSM portal, email and chat applications as well as personally dealing with end-users, you will be providing clear, written instructions for more complex problems and quick answers to more simple IT issues.

This is not just an IT Support role - you love to think of new ideas and get your kicks out of identifying gaps and recommending solutions to benefit the various departments you work with.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and peripherals
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests through our ITSM portal
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams such as our Software Developers
  • Providing technical support across the company, both virtually and on-site
  • Researching and identifying solutions to both hardware and software issues including repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
  • Providing prompt and accurate feedback to end-users
  • Referring to the internal database or external resources to provide accurate technical solutions
  • Proactively work with departments and teams to find technological solutions that will improve operational efficiency
  • About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering
  • Experienced with  Azure AD, Microsoft Azure (certification is a huge plus!), Intune, Google Workspace and MS Office Suite
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues as well as the ability to provide technical assistance to relevant teams
  • A natural helper and love assisting people with their IT issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skills or willingness to learn writing scripts such as Powershell to automate current procedures
  • Our culture & perks

    - Family friendly and flexible work culture
    - $500 every year to spend on your wellbeing
    - Generous paid parental leave
    - Udemy pass to learn new skills (maybe this is the year you learn how to take up your pants instead of asking your mum)
    - Share incentive programs
    - Outdoor rooftop terrace overlooking the Opera House, what a view!
    - Fortnightly Friday lunch club and endless snacks
    - Casual dress code (Chucks encouraged!)
    - Table tennis and regular tournaments
