The Head of Commercial is a key hire in our growth strategy as we evolve how our business operates, how we engage our clients and continue to expand globally. The role works across all delivery teams, all geographies and closely with a number of internal teams, including Customer Success and Product. Working in a fast-moving and very busy team, this hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient use of our people-resources, the mechanisms that hold internal stakeholders to account for profitable project management and the on-time, on-budget delivery to pharmaceutical and health clients.
Leadership - Hire, train and lead a high-performing team. Work with internal team members to ensure successful on-boarding and implementation for new clients. Ensure team members adhere to company policies, Data Governance and security, and approvals. Embed Prospection company purpose & values.
Collaboration - Work with senior management in the delivery of client engagements and associated outputs, supporting the team in day-to-day client management, project management and the development of high-quality client deliverables. Manage stakeholder relationships internally and externally through regular interaction with customers, partners and cross-functional collaborators.
Client engagement - Promote adoption and expansion of professional services within the existing and future customer base. Acquire new customers through a thorough understanding of the client situation and proposing solutions to meet these needs. Ensure expectations and outcomes for customers are well managed through strong internal collaboration across all functions, and contribute to the creation, development and communication of RFP responses, proposals, and client sales discussions.
Being the Expert - Act as the “go-to” person for internal teams on the effective management of all programs of work to clients and the production and continuous improvements of all outputs to clients globally. This will also include being on hand to advise on the design and scoping of the solution implementations as part of the pre-sales process, based on an in-depth understanding of the technical capabilities and design of the platforms and solutions.
Capability development – Encourage a growth mindset at all times across direct and indirect reports in order to further develop individual and team capabilities to enhance collaboration, communication, and presentation capability, This includes monitoring and enhancing performance by providing coaching and/or mentoring, encouragement and constructive feedback. You will also develop and deliver training to Delivery Consultants on a range of skills and topics, including presentation, communications, and advanced analytics.
