As the Senior Technical Product Manager for eCommerce, you will lead a team of engineers; driving the development of new capabilities on our platform to create innovative buying experiences in digital commerce. You will be partnering with internal cross-teams to influence and lead a team of engineers; driving outcomes to ensure Tyro creates an amazing customer experience. On top of this you will need to ensure that this experience is cohesive with our suite of product offerings to drive significant growth for Tyro.
 
Your initial focus will be defining the blueprint for Tyro’s eCommerce strategy and a release roadmap to deliver on the outcomes. You will also be responsible for driving day-to-day stewardship and performance of the existing eCommerce product to meet set KPIs/goals by partnering with business stakeholders.
 
Successful candidates will be commercially focused with a strong technical background. You should also be excited by the prospect of operating in a white-space environment. The ability to prioritise complex deliverables, negotiate with stakeholders, have highly technical discussions with engineers, and run large meetings with technical and business leaders is critical for success.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the product in accordance with our Product Lifecycle management policy
  • Develop a blueprint to define Tyro's eCommerce strategy and shape the release roadmap to deliver on commercial opportunities for both near and longer-term opportunities
  • Successfully partner with senior Engineering stakeholders to build and lead a team of engineers to deliver on the strategy and roadmap
  • Manage the existing eCommerce offering and partner with internal and external stakeholders across product and business to drive successful commercial outcomes
  • Build and manage high-quality product roadmaps based on your vision and strategy
  • Partner with internal business teams across Tyro to identify and influence development of new services and features to drive innovation
  • Identify and work with external parties to drive innovation and expand our competitive offering in the digital commerce space
  • Gain support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by ensuring the wider business understands the workings of the product and the benefits it delivers
  • Manage 1 direct report (Technical eCommerce Product Manager)
  • Your Background and Experience

  • 8-10+ years of relevant product management experience
  • Experience in designing and launching payment systems for digital products
  • Strong track record of balancing technical vs commercial decisions
  • Experience in building and managing technical software products from kick-off to deployment
  • Technical experience essential in client-side, server-side and mobile technologies
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a requirement
  • Creative product thinker with track record of collaboration and execution
  • Demonstrates coach/player leadership capability
  • Grit & resilience – the ability to persist and keep the team focused on the outcomes by ensuring change management and stakeholder influencing skillsets are utilised
