Role Overview:

The Head of Editorial is a leadership role within Finder’s Growth team. You will lead our editorial team of writers, editors and video producers to develop compelling, high performing content across Finder’s website and app. Over two million Australians use Finder each month to compare products, save money and invest. This role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced digital editor who is passionate about helping Australians make better financial decisions.

You have a track record of leading the production of high-quality content (written, video and audio), and experience mentoring editorial crew to create compelling content that’s best in class. 

You have a deep understanding of audience acquisition and engagement, excellent communication skills and are motivated by finding new ways to simplify complex financial topics to make them more accessible for everyday Australians. 

You’ll be proactive and able to influence senior stakeholders. You will leverage your existing expertise and relationships to act as a spokesperson for Finder.


  • Oversee the editorial strategy to drive traffic across Finder Australia
  • Lead our high-performing, tight-knit editorial team 
  • Work with the editorial and publishing teams to develop our editorial strategy covering audience acquisition and engagement, news and video
  • Provide detailed, actionable feedback to ensure our content quality is always best in class.
  • Work across a large body of pre-existing content and develop an ‘always-on’ strategy for improving & refining content and bolstering its SEO performance
  • Raise the benchmark for quality with our existing content and build processes to ensure that standard is maintained

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Experience leading and inspiring an editorial team
  • Experience with content strategy and editorial planning for both news and evergreen articles
  • Experience mentoring and developing writers to ensure content is clear, compelling and impactful
  • An understanding of SEO, keyword research and the tools required to explore user insights, supported by editorial experience
  • An innate ability to understand complicated topics and break them down into a clear and digestible message 
  • Experience building out content on new and unfamiliar topics
