Why we’re hiring this role

In 2020 we started our community program with a quarterly virtual event called UpGuard Summit to help customers hear from us about the latest product developments and regularly hear from each other about best practices. Summit has had a measurable positive impact on customer retention and sales effectiveness, so it’s time to find the right person to take our community strategy to the next level!

What will you accomplish?

  • Develop and execute a community strategy tied to clear engagement and revenue goals for customer retention, expansion, and acquisition.
  • Own and produce our flagship Summit event and work with the team to make it world-class.
  • Produce engaging content (such as webinars) that is relevant to our audience, and collaborate with other Marketing team members for distribution across multiple channels (e.g. email, social) using a content calendar.
  • Investigate and over time, implement, other community platforms (e.g. Circle, Insided) for customers to engage each other and with UpGuard.
  • Collaborate closely with our Customer Success team to become a “voice of the customer” who can communicate customer pain points and use cases to help the team with renewals and expansions.
  • Take feedback from our community and work with our Product team to turn them into features for our product roadmap.
  • What we're looking for

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in building, managing, and growing a community of professionals.
  • Someone who is excited about the opportunity to build upon an emerging community program with executive sponsorship.
  • Experience with products such as Hubspot, Intercom, and virtual event management software such as Hopin or Bevy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • B2B or professional services experience would be beneficial.
  • Bonus

  • B2B SaaS experience.
  • Knowledge and passion for cybersecurity.
  • Experience managing user communities or C2C forums.
  • Experience in running in-person community events, such as user groups or meetups.
