We have a brand-new Experience Design Manager role with the Connective Collaboration team to lead the discovery, prioritisation and quality of the work that gets shipped to our multi product customers. Additionally, this role would help grow and mature the design capability within Cross Product Collaboration.

This team focuses on building outstanding customer experiences for our multi product customers. The goal is to provide experiences that give them access to the right information and tools, in the right place, at the right time. You’ll run a portfolio which designs for scale, collaboration and global experiences across our platform. These solutions help our multi product customers to move work forward across our products and beyond.

More about our role;

  • Get the opportunity to work across the entire suite of Atlassian products.
  • Lead, manage and inspire the growth and development of designers who are working on our cross-product experiences.
  • Work alongside our cutting edge Product Managers, Engineering and other key partners who lead the delivery strategy and execution of what we ship to empower multi product customers to move work forward.
  • Lead the design quality and execution within this portfolio to be certain we have applied human centered design practices and increased the level of customer empathy within our teams.
  • Help drive the culture, ways of working and improvements to our processes so that we can break down critical initiatives into shippable pieces.
  • Contribute to our design craft at Atlassian at a team and organisation level.
  • Work closely with our Cross Product Collaboration Design Management team to ensure we are strategically aligned.

  • Have hands-on professional experience as a designer - you’ve been there, you’ve shipped it, so you know what it takes to be led by a great leader.
  • Be a self-starter with an eye for detail and a knack for getting to the root of the problem with a laser focus on the customer.
  • Have been a senior/lead designer who is looking to move more formally into the design management track, or have previous experience of leading a design team.
