Ideally we seek someone with a legal background. Maybe you are a lawyer looking to get into commercial or a previous lawyer who has made the move already. You’ll need to have strong experience negotiating commercials with counterparties and marking up the key contract points in commercial agreements. Ideally, you’ll have experience working in a dynamic environment and feel confident negotiating commercials with global partners. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong legal background to take a more strategic role in a fast-growing business. You have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the business.

Strong commercial law experience, with a focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
The ability to manage competing priorities and time pressure, and to operate with a high level of autonomy
A desire to work and ability to perform in a fast-paced, energetic, high growth and dynamic environment.
The ability to work independently and in a team, requiring collaboration with all levels of employees
Have a working knowledge of intellectual property and data/privacy law.

You will

Seeking out new global partnership opportunities
Working with the product team to understand the business case of connecting with a new partner
Negotiating commercials with prospective partners and working closely with sales operations & finance to understand the addressable market opportunity for the partnership
Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing partners
Reviewing and negotiating the key commercial and legal clauses in partnership agreements
Working with colleagues in the Sales and Product teams to provide strategy and share knowledge
Supporting and enabling domestic and international growth

What success looks like

In your first month, we will give you the full induction so that you understand the company culture and meet all of your cross-functional partners. We will ensure that you have all the tools that you need to be successful. You will spend time working with Mark, the CFO to get a full understanding of the role, and Simon, the CEO so that you have a full understanding of FrankieOne’s mission and vision. Day-to-day you will work closely with Mark (CFO) and the Head of Sales.

In month two, you will be entrenched in the business and will be seeking out new partnership deals. This may be driven by demands from new customers (they want a new partner on the FrankieOne platform), or new products on our roadmap. You will be taking demo meetings with new partners, reviewing commercials with sales/finance (understanding the business case and opportunity), and ultimately negotiating the commercial partnership agreement.

The team

You will be working closely with the Sales (Chief Revenue Officer, Sales Operations Director) and the CFO (Mark Powell). Mark joined FrankieOne as the first employee and has worn many hats as the company has grown over the last 2 years. Before joining, Mark spent 11 years in investment banking roles in Sydney and New York and brings a breadth of experience across finance, operations and leadership roles.

Logistics

The full-time role will be based in our Sydney or Melbourne office. As mentioned above, we have a flexible work-from-home policy and absence lockdown, the teams are in the office on Wednesdays and Fridays so we can maintain our vibrant office culture and use these days for team collaboration/problem-solving.
Our interview process will involve a series of interviews with the senior management team at FrankieOne.
