Come and join us at Xero! Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for three experienced Development Managers to lead our Customer Platform groups based in Auckland and Wellington.

What are the Customer Platform groups?

Sales and Growth:  Focus on helping Xero’s Global Sales teams and maximising the use of Salesforce with Sales Cloud, Analytics Cloud and more.

Customer Service and Success:  Focus on helping Xero’s Customer Experience and Success teams maximise the use of Salesforce Experience Cloud through Xero Central, Service Cloud, Coveo and other 3rd party applications. 

Marketing and Experience:  Focus on helping Xero’s Marketing teams maximise the use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud and more.
What’s the role?

As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for the People Leads and Lead Engineers who work across the Customer Platforms domain, which is Salesforce specific. As a leader of leaders, you’ll foster a positive team culture and provide direction for technical practices and standards. Your job is to build a cohesive thought-leading engineering community that rapidly delivers value to our customers and continually improves. By doing so you’ll contribute to Xero achieving its goals.

What you'll bring with you:

  • Salesforce experience would be highly beneficial as will be a strong focus of your role 
  • You’ll have a strong leadership background and experience in building high-performing engineering teams
  • Experience working on software development projects at scale using modern software development practices
  • Coaching and mentoring experience 
  • A growth mindset - you understand that competency is not fixed but is enhanced through dedication and hard work
  • Proven ability to navigate areas of conflict in an open, positive and proactive way
  • You’re fine with uncertainty and change – and bring clarity amongst it
