Why Plenti?

We believe the financial system has become bloated and inefficient so we’re using technology and data to give value - and power - back to the consumer. Our ambition is huge and the only way we can achieve it is by bringing together the best people in the world. That's where you come in.

Who are we?

Plenti is Australia's leading technology-led consumer lending and investment business. We are on a mission to challenge the status quo. We have opened-up consumer credit to everyday Australians. We are also disrupting the automotive, renewable energy, personal and legal loan markets. We’ve funded $1bn+ in loans, just listed on the ASX and this is just the beginning.

What’s the role?
Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, you’ll join a high-performing legal and compliance team to provide support and advice to Plenti business units on legal and compliance issues with a particular focus on consumer credit and financial regulatory frameworks, privacy law, disputes (including EDR), and AML/CTF matters.

What will you be responsible for?

Legal and compliance advice: Provide legal and compliance advice to all of Plenti’s business units. Includes responding to ad-hoc requests, drafting policy and procedure documents, preparing responses to borrower, investor and shareholder complaints and disputes, and reviewing promotional and marketing materials.
New products and features: Act as the legal lead for new products, services and features Plenti is seeking to introduce. Provide project and product teams with advice and pragmatic solutions taking into account regulatory requirements.
Agreements: Drafting and reviewing various types of agreements, including agreements with loan referral partners, other commercial partners and service providers. Review and draft standard contract templates for consumer (regulated and unregulated) and commercial borrowers.
Assisting with company secretary tasks: preparing boards packs and reports for meetings of subsidiary boards and committees, and minute-taking. Providing assistance and support to the company secretary and registry.
Compliance: Investigate and remediate (as required) incidents and breaches, maintain regulatory registers, prepare and present compliance training to the business.
