About the role
We are looking for an experienced (ideally in Banking) Solutions Architect to make a difference in our growing company. You won’t need to worry about an extensive legacy stack but rather focus on our modular architecture that is supported by our strong engineering teams. You will have the opportunity to work on solutions to deliver exciting new products and define a roadmap for Public Cloud adoption within the Banking domain

What you'll be doing

  • Engaging with various stakeholders across the organisation and external parties
  • Leading the design of technical solutions to take advantage of the benefits provided by Tyro’s cloud-hosted container platform and AWS native services
  • Coordination of ongoing technical activities and dependency analysis
  • Assisting with business cases and documentation artefacts
  • Balancing architectural concerns of the domain with the concerns of the enterprise
  • Identifying milestones/requirements as part of a roadmap (architectural as well as business value)
  • Ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met
  • What we're looking for

  • Experience working in financial services or other domain with critical performance and regulatory criteria
  • Experience working with distributed systems and microservice architectures
  • Experience working with a public cloud provider (AWS) and developing cloud-native services
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver incrementally towards a strategic goal
  • A passion for creating quality software
  • The ability to see how parts interact with the whole ("big picture" thinking)
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills – collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand
  • Experience with APRA standards and steps required to be compliant with Material Outsourcing, Business Continuity, Information Security etc. (highly regarded)
  • Data governance and Analytics experience (highly regarded)
