The Role
Reporting to the Corporate Reporting Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the group reporting; internal/external reporting including all of the compliance for ASIC and ASX reporting for quarterly, half yearly and year end requirements. This will include managing all financial reporting, as well as being involved with determining and implementing group accounting policy.

You will be able to demonstrate strong teamwork skills, initiative and the ability to build and maintain relationships. As a growing business, your ability to work at pace, whilst maintaining high standards is also of paramount importance.

This Brisbane based position will work closely with the Corporate Reporting Manager and others within the finance team including the CFO and external auditors to work on all aspects of the planning and execution of interim and final group audit, preparation of financial statements, both Group and subsidiary, and external market releases.

**Please note this is a 6 month fixed term contract with strong potential to become permanent in the new financial year.**

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting Financial reporting and consolidations for the Megaport Group, ensuring the integrity of the financial data within the Group's consolidation reporting system
  • Perform eliminations and post-consolidation entries on a monthly basis and for forecasts and budget
  • Preparation of consolidated financial reports to deliver high-quality information to senior internal/external stakeholders
  • Provide insightful analysis of Megaport Group financial results
  • Preparation of Board and ASX reporting packs
  • Proactively be involved in developing and maintaining the reporting system, managing and developing changes and enhancements as required
  • Management and consolidation of Corporate entities and dealing with auditors with regards to audit queries
  • Working with Investor Relations on Quarterly basis to prepare financial/analytical information
  • What we are looking for

  • CA or CPA - essential requirement
  • Highly technical, analytical, and personable, possess 5+ years of post qualification experience in month end financial and statutory accounting ideally from a large entity (private or listed); with a group structure and consolidations
  • Strong technical accounting background in IFRS
  • Highly numeric/strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Track record of ASX reporting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Strong communication, planning, and organization skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Office and cloud based systems
  • Confidence, decisiveness, commitment, energy, reliability and resourcefulness
  • Ability to work independently, in confidence, under pressure, and perform several tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
